Anyone interested in the project management profession or has been involved in supporting, leading, and directing projects and would like to take their career to the next level by earning the PMP® certification should enroll in this program.
The PMP® certification greatly expands your skills, value, and potential job opportunities. According to a salary survey conducted by PMI, the world’s leading authority on project management, PMP® Certification Holders Earn 16 Percent Higher Median Salary than Non-Certified Professionals. Also, according to their Talent Gap report, the global economy will need 25 million new project professionals by 2030.
To be eligible for the PMP® certification, you must have education and experience leading and directing projects within the last eight consecutive years.
The PMP examination includes 180 random questions, five of which are pretest questions that do not affect your score.
The allotted time to complete the exam is 3 hours and 50 minutes (230 minutes).
After completing the first 60 questions and reviewing your answers and after completing question 120, you may take a 10-minute break.
Once you review your responses and start your break, you will not be allowed to return to questions from the previous section of the exam.
When you are signed back in after each break, you will have the remaining allotted time to complete the remaining section(s).
Before the exam, you have an option to complete a quick tutorial and complete a survey.
If you do not pass the exam the first time, you can take the examination up to three times within your one-year eligibility period. After three failed attempts, you must wait one year from the last examination date before you reapply for the certification.
